Can a patch be made available to the current stable source so that other architectures (such as amd64) can be checked?

Thanks.

Have you downloaded the fireGL drivers from ati's website yet? you need to install them and make sure that mesa isn't running before you get good fps

What's wrong with 25 fps? Movies are 25 fps or so, TV is 30 (60 interlaced) although they capture motion blur. If it's not playable, you're not getting 25, that's only between stutters, need more RAM or close some apps maybe. It introduces about 50 ms lag whereas 50 fps would be 25 and ... feedback really doesn't drop out until below 10 fps.

Actually what I said is very incomplete. 25 fps *minimum* is great, 25 even in a tiny map is terrible. The game needs a more powerful CPU than an equivalent using precompilation would, plus video just as good.

It's already using hardware acceleration, because if not the fps would be ~10 or so.

Probably you've set a too much consuming anti-aliasing or something like that.

i have a laptop with a pentium 4 2.0ghz, 512mb ram and a radeon 7000 running win xp. it gets 60fps (using ati hydravision drivers) but has strange sudden cpu spikes which cause occasional freezes. on douze it gots 35fps. now thats weird considering that it can play UT original fine.
