#1: feature

by jcdpc on 04/22/2004 22:42

are you saying that you should get green armor if your below 100? I think the yellow protects more than the green. so that would make it a feature.

case I_GREENARMOUR:
// (100h/100g only absorbs 166 damage)
if(d->armourtype==A_YELLOW && d->armour>66) break;

quake does this too. it is in your best interest :)

been wondering about this too,
but i like it. this way you canĀ“t just armour-run to keep your opponent from getting any armour, like in q3 (the "armour-timer" game) :)

#5: cube bug in editmode

by ph0ok on 04/24/2004 17:51

this time it's a bug, i'm sure.
cube crashes if you watch a demo which has been recorded while editing.

link broken. But i found another bug, if your watching a demo playback you can enter editmode and change things while
the demo is playing. it's weird.

You can edit in DMSP. It's rather annoying when the monsters keep knocking you around as you're trying to select cubes ...

noo. not in DMSP, but while you're watching a demo playback.
Here...
http://sirotilk.de/niklas/shield.cdgz
while you play this demo press E and select some cubes. You can move them however you want, but the demo will keep playing.

when you attempt to load a demo which doesn't exist while playing another one you can see your own model standing around

just tried, playing back a demo of editing worked for me (funny, I never even tested this functionality! but I can understand if there are some thing that don't work with it).

It didn't crash... but I will have a look.

If you start with a 512x512 map and make all of it except for a path along the edge solid it creates a big HOM on one side of the wall. it seems to do this whenever you turn very large areas to solid.

i tried to make a demo, but cube kicked me out on playback.

I know that it is a problem with the map, but easy to fix/work around.
