Does anyone else have mousewheel problems?

On two different windows systems (ME and XP) I find that my mousewheel does not function in Cube. I understand its supposed to zoom in game mode and do some utterly fascinating stuff in edit mode - but I can't see any of it. Any thoughts?

raises/lowers selected cubes in edit mode.

Never had problems with it myself.

try to make sure it scrolls by one line, maybe turn "office compatiple scrolling" on or off...
I myself have used microsoft mouse-software for my older no-name and cheap logitech mouse, now i have an mx-500 with the logitech software and it works fine..
before that the mousewheel was somehow un accurate at times...

If you have a Genius mouse, try killing the program which sits in the tray.
