Don't use it. Use setshaderparam.

#4538: Mac and no mousewheel |

I apologise if this question has already been asked and answered elsewhere, but can anybody tell me how to make walls in a new map using a mac "single-click (and no mousewheel) mouse. It's probably something simple, or some combination of buttons but any help would be appreciated. I can draw an out line and hit F2 for textures but after clicking on one of the textures nothing happens. The you tube vids seem to make it look very easy and the textures are down the RH side of the screen, not so on my version, so very confusing.

Try out this http://sauerbraten.org/docs/editing.html
For the rest, simply try going on servers running coop edit as mode and see if someone has enough time and nerves to teach you the very basics.

#4542: Loading a map after starting from scratch |

I'm messing around with making a map from scratch and I'm wondering how I can go about loading it from the game menu. The name doesn't seem to be appearing in any of the categories. Is there some sort of config file I need to edit for the individual level I created?

Thanks for the link. That looks like what I'm looking for. But that links brings up another problem. I don't have an autoexec.cfg. When I made one and added the line as per the instructions, the Cube engine failed to load. I got some C++ error. Is there another method for making this work?

/showcustommaps
I don't understand why people expect the game's map selector to be filled with whatever map they decide to save. It would be cluttered way too much.

1. Open a new .txt-file.
2. Save it as "autoexec.cfg"
3. There you go, you got an autoexec-file.
By the way, didn't know about the command "showcostummaps" 0.0!

#4547: Cubescript question |

Can Cubescript be used to alter gravity or some other similar property, or does that have to be hardcoded?
Because if it can, I have an EPIC idea for a map!

Yes, it is hard coded. You can try doing your idea in Red Eclipse since it has gravity variables, but I don't know if it is map specific, global, server only, etc.

They are map-defined in Red Eclipse.
