#4412: Rotate mapmodels |

I wonder if it is possible to rotate all the mapmodels inside of some selection.
The problem is, I've rotated some large map with about two hundreds of mapmodels, but they all saved their original direction. Is there any way I could turn them by -90 (or +270) degrees?

Yes... Forgot how with a command. Try to press 1 (near the F* keys), +scroll wheel until the desired angle.

http://sauerbraten.org/docs/editref.html#replaceents
If you just want to do it on a subset of all mapmodels (those inside a selection), then it's more complicated than I want to work out right now. Easiest thing to do would probably be to do it partially by hand.
eihrul: typo in editref.html, syntax of "entfind": two "type"s?

rotate in a selection
/entselect insel
/entloop [entset (et) (+ (ea 0) 270) (ea 1) (ea 2) (ea 3) (ea 4)]
To rotate everything, just replace insel with 1

Thanks, all these ways worked for me. I've used Hirato Kirata's way, it looked the simpliest to use. It was.

do a clean install on another folder and keep it as a backup for anything you mess up. use your brain.

there should be a .BAK file anyway .. and whatever you pass as --home in/to your .BAT will ensure that no vanilla files ever need/will be overwritten! Of course the application needs to have write permissions to that DIR which seems to be the main-issue with the default-path used in Windows-Installers if you don't get admin-privileges during installation.

When I use glass in a map and save it the glass looks very strange after "quick light" or after i open it with /map. It has all rainbow coulours instead of a transparent blue. How can I fix that?

#4430: New Sauerbraten Map Website |

My friends and I have made a lot of maps in Sauerbraten. I decided we needed a better way of distributing these maps. I created a website to distribute them. It's not done but it gets the job accomplished.

No offense intended, but I think you need to polish your editing skills before distributing more maps. The screenshots alone do not make me want to look at them any further, many people will feel the same. You should invest time in one solid map and present that one to the public, get some constructive criticism on what to improve and really take the advice of other mappers. Keep at it though, I'm not trying to discourage you.
