#4272: Editing slopes |

Hi guys, apologies if this is a n00btastic question, but I've searched the docs and couldn't find an answer.
Is there a way to quickly create slopes?
By this, I mean selecting a group of cubes, and gradually raising a smooth slope from one end of the selection to the other.
The only way I can figure out is to painstakingly raise/lower the corners of one strip of cubes at a time.
Thanks in advance!

press the scroll wheel, keep pressed to select your cubes, release and scroll to slope them all accordingly. you\'ll have to experiment with that a tiny bit to get the hang of it

Also, selecting a range of cubes and using Q+scroll will affect that corner of all the cubes in the selection.

You could also heightmap, but that is kind of tricky just to make a straight slope. Press H then scroll and you'll make a mountain-like mass of cubes. Hold down B and scroll to change the "brush" (the style of heightmapping). There are the following types of heightmapping: squares, circular, smoothing, and noise. The squares one just drag a square out of the ground and smooth the edges. This is probably gonna be the most useful heightmap in making slopes. Circular makes a (rather pyramidical) bunch of cubes appear, and is useful for making mountainous terrain. Smoothing, as you might have guessed, smooths out terrain. Noise just ruins any smoothness, but makes terrain look quite authentic-ly destroyed. Note that all of these (except smoothing) can be done by either scrolling away from you (digging a hole) or toward you (making a mountain).
Sorry for the lengthy post and hope that helps,

You can't.
You'd have to edit the model in a 3D modeling program and distribute it with your map (assuming, of course, that you'd be in compliance with the license).

I have been creating my first map recently and I now want to test it out with some bots in. I have looked through the documentation but cant seem to find out how to get to play it with bots in.
From what I have read it seems that I need to edit the menu.cfg file but as a noob I'm not sure if this is right or how I do it.
Can any one help me out?

Just go in your map and his the Insert key to add a bot, or the Delete key to remove a bot. You don't need to use the Bot Match menu at all. Just run around your map and you will automatically drop waypoints for the bots to follow, and you can use the "savewaypoints" command to cause the waypoints to be saved out for later replays.

If you don't have the Insert or Delete keys, you can use "addbot" and "delbot" to add and delete bots, respectively.

Hi
I know this is potentially a stupid question, but how do you create a map that is 100x100? as far as I can figure, the default it 150x150..
thanks

#4289: Fog/clouds |

Hello all,
I'm sorry if this is a supid question, but I have been searching to figure out how to make clouds or fog in a map. I found two solutions: /cloudbox and /fog. I was wondering if there is a better way to make fog, so that it's actually foggy instead of everything too far away to see being gray.
Thanks!
