do you mean file extensions? its .md2, the usual quake2 format...

if you want to ADD some weapons to the existing ones, you need to code their implementation by yourself...

Do you have any md2 files ready for export and use in cube to replace the older ones?

as i said before... currently i'm preparing my weapon replacements to send them to aardappel. the indisputable decision, wether they are worthy enough to include them or not, is upon him. if he won't include them (as he is the creator of cube and definitely has the final say on these things), i will make them available for download to everyone on my cube-stuff pages.

I think Cube should have both your new weapons and the old ones. It should then be the player choice (more poly = slower fps... and of course taste...) Same for the items.

I disagree Drakker, I highly doube anything that Quake2 will accept is any... thing worth lagging the pc heh, and as things are going right now... you'll be able to buy a pimp graphics & mobo since PCI Express is comin soon :), DCP, PIMP THAT POLY HOMIE!

lol, my weaponmodels (in their still unoptimized form) have a relatively high poly-load, but i can't see any fps decrease on my machine. it's an athlon 2600 512MBram geForceFX5200 (what i would call a 'mid-range' system these days)...

What abotu that spare 700mhz duron with a tnt2 m64? Runs well with the current models... and its nice when someone is coming over and wanna try out cube in multiplayer...

The more computers can run Cube, the better it is.

700mHz? my second testing machine is a pII400 with 196MB and geForceMX440. and there are no significant performance decreases either...

Whatever, that was an exemple machine. By the way. that GF MX440 is WAY more powerful than a TNT2 m64...
