Sauerbraten on Github wouldn't be cool ?

I was wondering if by chance Sauerbraten could be on github.

It seems that the game dev is quite slow and on the source forge last modification are quite old.

It would be cool to create a dev community around the game to make it more popular and getting updates more often.

What do you think ?

The dev community is pretty much IRC, and in that aspect, I think IRC is unrivaled. The source repository hosting is really secondary.

I don't see a reason to port it. SourceForge seems to be as popular if not moreso than github.
