VAQ banned me for being Mexican

Hola, gente

I just wanted to put this forward and see what you think. I love killing time on Venice servers. A few weeks ago I found out I was permanently banned from VAQ's Venice server for no reason. I happened to find some VAQ people on a random server and asked what was wrong. Here is what they said:

Is VAQ run by Beate Zschäpe? Is this acceptable behavior? What do you think?

Well, servers are hosted by private people. Just the master server, that is the one which sends you the server list and handles global auth, is hosted by the game devs.

As long as the servers do not do "major changes in the gameplay of Sauerbraten" they can make up pretty much their own rules.

Sorry mate, it is dumb, but it seems like you really have to look for a new server.
...or just get a new IP :P

Thanks for the support. May be the master server should not list servers known for unacceptable policy. I know people will still connect, but the main server should not endorse bigotry. Now there's the remote possibility there is a technical reason for the ban; someone from VAQ should clarify otherwise it is only logical to assume a discriminatory policy.

Wow, I seriously can't belive the level of idiocy here.

First of all:
We ban for the following reasons:
- Harassment
- Racism
- Cheating
- Spamming
- Teamkills (30 mins ban)

These are in my opinion all reasons that would legitimate a ban. If you got banned it's because of these reasons.

Now: If you ask stupid questions, you get stupid answers.
You have greatly proven your lack of understanding sarcasm.
Seriously read again what fear said... and, just for once, think about it. Then think again and again untill you realize the obvious.

Furthermore we delete the banlist on a regular basis because we wanna give violaters a chance to rehabilitate.

Now stop crying, kid.
