hello,

I play often sauerbraten on the server sauerleague but there are the last time incredible much people who are cheating with an aimbot. I see it when I spectate on them. can you ( the makers of the game) do something to stop them? you can maybe make some servers where you can cheat and make the others cheaters clean ;)

I really hate it when you got shot by cheaters who think they're soooo... good.

1) You did not mention the names of any cheaters
2) You did not notify any admins about them
3) Chances are a really good player got your attention and you branded him a cheater
4) You won't get much help about this issue here, try asking on IRC instead.

I spectate them like aaaaasd, Under18, and many others you can just see they mis once and then hit somone so every time they mis one and then hit one = aimbot 50% If you would check the out you would see them.

The cheaters you meet on sauer are usually dumb as heck. 50% aimbot? No way. Only the full 100% perfect aim are acceptable. Sometimes even through walls.

Once a person misses (riflejumps not counted) you can be quite sure that he's got no aimbot.

triggerbots can miss often, mostly due to lag (either someone killed the target first or the hack shot at a spot which due to the lag was no longer a part of the hitbox).

even so, yes, anything under 50% is unlikely to be cheating, but then again, most cheaters are dumb as fuck.

Calling aaaaasd a cheater just disqualified your opinion on cheaters. Depending on how you play (trying to score at the cost of frags and accuracy, trying to frag at cost of accuracy and flags, trying to be accurate at the cost of frags and flags), more than 50% are perfectly doable on some maps.

Is it so damn hard? Just spectate and see if the suspected player makes moves which are likely to be inhuman.

Without any evidence as a movie (execute "/movie [name_of_movie]" convert it to .mp4-format if possible. A demo would work also, but not preferred.

Sometimes lag may distort this kinda movement too, so some movements may seem a little inhuman, though it was just a poor connection.
Then you had to look at ping and even more importantly the pj of the according player and bring it into a relation of how often such movements happen.

Also, sometimes it is easy to get a mega-aim. Occasionally (admittedly on VEEEERY rare occasions) I win matches with an accuracy of like 80% because the enemy is some newbie whose movements are so slow and predictable and who sometimes even entirely stands still to shoot.
So you have to compare it to the strength of the enemy too.

Demos not preffered? What are you babling about =P Everyone uses demos these days and it's good. Because it's much smaller and lets you see things more closely

Very true, but I'm not willing to check about 9 minutes of play to finally reach the case which could be in the last minute if a match.
That's why I suggest to rather use the movie-command than the demo. Also, not all servers have demorecording set at on by default.

Don't forget people could also easily prank you by sending a demo where no one appears to cheat at all; which means you wasted 10 minutes...
