Ok, i checked the source and it seems clean. And only 4 detections. I will report this, so that they sort this out.

#45: 2013-01-20 patch

by eihrul on 01/20/2013 21:44

New patch as of 2013-01-20 here (with bins/source for Windows and Linux, but only source forge for Mac):

http://sourceforge.net/projects/sauerbraten/files/sauerbraten/2013_01_04/patch_01_04_to_01_20.zip/download

Fixes the following stuff:

* server teamkillkick bugs
* server map rotation bugs
* missing map rotation for SP maps
* map sounds playing after disconnect
* random sounds playing if someone else has a modified map
* ragdolls not re-created properly while spectating someone

This stuff is already rolled into the release bundles tagged with 2013_01_20, so no need for the patch if you have that.

#46: Weapons Sounds

by robart on 01/21/2013 02:10

On the new version, all of my weapons sounds sound like toy pop-guns. And they all sound pretty much the same. How can I revert back to my old weapons sounds? Thanks.

You have to modify the file data\sound.cfg. There you find the sound bindings. The old sounds are just commented out. It is basically replacing q009 with awesund.

Thanks. I\'ll give that a try.

Hmm...it looks like I have both q009 and awesund listed, though the latter is the registered sound. I'm not sure what to do with that.

Got the 01.20-Patch, but this DMSP thingy still doesn´t work: After one DMSP mission the next one is FFA.

comments, please?

What about a new release next month instead of patching every week? The most newcomers (aka noobs) aren't aware of those patches at all.
This would also be an opportunity for mappers to fix certain things in their maps if they want to.

Umm, the newcomers don't have to patch. The main downloads already include the patched files.

What about implementing a build in patcher that applies new patches when they become available. This would be easier than visiting the sourceforge site and download the installer every time.

There already is as it's called SVN. But it's not something noobs should be aware of.

Hows about we just freeze things (unless there is a omfg server killer bug found).

#58: Re: ..

Well, there was an omfg server bug that was fixed in that latest patch. :)

The drawback of making a release twice as late as usual is there is twice as much accumulated bugs...

The 01-26 should be the least buggy version of them all though. ;)

#60: Non-smooth on Mac

by SanHolo on 01/31/2013 03:37

I just downloaded the new edition, so I should have all the patches, but it's not running smoothly on my Mac any more. Is this a known issue? It does show 60 fps (cap?) but it feels jerky.

OS X 10.8.2, i7 3.4, Radeon HD 6970M

Try the command 'vscync 0'.
