Trying to refind a mod (saved part of map in custom menu)

by SirYlj on 10/26/2012 23:13, 3 messages, last message: 10/27/2012 23:19, 973 views, last view: 04/30/2024 06:54

A long time ago (a few years), I found a mod that let you save sections of a map using a custom menu, and then let you paste those sections into any new map.

I remember using it to save car models so I could open up the menu and paste them in. (The idea of saving the car as a past-able object instead of in a map.)

I can't find this mod again, so if anyone knows what I'm talking about, a step in the right direction would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Something like that (except much simpler) will be in the next release of Sauerbraten

Looks really awesome and I will absolutely use it.

The mod I am thinking of is not as fancy as this, it took a screenshot of the screen when 'saving' an object, and it created its own object folder (like maps).

I don't know how similar this mod is (as I have not downloaded it yet), but it seems like an updated version/idea, so thanks for the info.

After trying the mod, it is very complicated and above what I need it to do. The program I used (I believe it was from Quadropolis) was much more simple, saved the object in a folder (like when saving maps) and allowed you to load objects from single simple menu.

If you have any information on the mod I am speaking of, please say so because it is very hard to find this again. I can't even remember how I stumbled on it.
