Sauerbraten in Steam

There is a chance to add Sauerbraten in Steam store. Valve has opened Greenlight system, where people can offer other (even own) games to get into Steam store.
What does sauer community think?

On the one hand, it would be nice to popularize the game this way. On the other, it would make the game more complicated to acquire and use.

My honest opinion: I'd really rather not go through the steam client every time I want to play.
