Triggering sound effects

Hello, I just played the original cube game (2005 edition) and I noticed that there were a few triggers that allowed you to change music, or triggered a sound effect. I am making a campaign and voice acting is key. is there a way to trigger a sound in cube 2, or was that feature taken out?
Thanks in advance!

It appears that a / is inserted before each ' when you answer the question wrong.. i once saw a post with 8 /. Talk about fail.

I did, must have missed it the first time. :P
Most of it does not make sense, hell I know alot about map editing but when it comes to cmd lines and stuff like that I am a dumb ass. When I try to insert a sound entity and set the sound id to say... 1 it says its unregistered, whats that all about?

To insert sounds in a map they must be registered inside the map's config. Check maps like 'xenon' and their config to see how to do that. Not too hard :)

Ok, I looked at it, and I now have looping ambience that plays indefinitely. Now I need to figure out how to trigger a sound effect with an invisible trigger, (like on the 2005 campaign enter the core, at one point you would head in the direction of a button, and right before you got there, a trigger would make the entire station say "intruder alert" without looping) and the editorial does not give specific instructions, or it does, and for some reason I just missed it? It would be helpful if you could give me the trigger instructions for it. (Sorry for asking on the forum, other players who have learned it and can explain it in plain fashion helps a lot!)

Triggers don't work in multiplayer.

They're "singleplayer elements only".

Yea. Shucks.

I know that, I'm making a campaign, not a multiplayer map. Now if you know how to trigger a sound effect with an invisible trigger, plz respond (that goes for anyone reading this).
