CUBE engine webring

We need to create a CUBE engine webring and have everyone with a CUBE related website link off each other.

Anyone agree? I know the community following is small right now, but it will grow in time.

im a professional webmaster, an am d/l now, done, lol, and i would be more than happy to help set this up, i am the webmaster of www.eca-clan.net, and have space to burn, i usualy charge for hosting, but if u want a cube related site, its yours, www.eca-clan.net/yourcubesite you know the deal, no space limits, asp, perl, mysql, all the trimmings, and no ads.

I ahve started a new page, with all the currently availiable ad on amps, and a forum for now, i will add more later, but i think that all the maps in one place is a good idea.

Ok, I've got my website up. This address is only temporary though. It's currently running on my webserver at home through my cable modem. So I'll be looking for a host with a faster connection. Regardless, you can all still check out what I am doing with the CUBE engine there. Here's the URL you can access the site at:

oops, i forgot to upload the menu file, so thats y you have been getting the error. i htink that i have fixed it now, and the downloads section will be linked up to the database by the end of the weekend. so you will have lots of lovely maps to d/l from the one place. ive also made a scrip so that there is a rotating site ring "banner" down the bottom of your page if u link to hte script. just send me you 50x150 picture, i upload it, add you to the picture array, and wow, your in the site ring rotator.

i fixed ti so that in netscape it would show uo right, considering that it requests images differently to ie, and therefire would give a 404 when i had not uploaded the image. should work now, any way the forum works

#15: Just a few features

Here's a few features I think the engine could use:

1. doors and lifts

2. jump pads (not as important as #1)

3. level change action for single player. (for instance, the player triggers a particular door to end the stage and it automatically takes him to the next level (map). I would think a quick and easy way to implement this would be to allow certain events in the game to execute a cfg file. For instance, the player triggers a particular door that executes "level_2.cfg". The text of level 2 loads the next map. It would really be cool if this event could trigger a batch file, that way, the batchfile could unload the game, copy a differeny music file over to the default, then load the game again, with a different map. Only downfall to that is equipment wouldn't carry over to the next level.

4. Weapon model (although I like it the way it is without the weapon out in front of your face, I've heard a lot of people say that it needs weapon models).

5. A start/finish line feature. (For making car or pod racing games with the CUBE engine).

I know I had some other features in mind, but they escape me right now. I'll probably remember them as soon as I click the "submit" button. :(

YEA HAH, i have finaly smothed out the bugs, got the database going, and i can now host php pages if anyone is interested, be sure to take a look at my site if u r wanting hosting.

All the menus are now working, and the maps page is up!!!!

i am adding a mods page for my site, and am also uploading now the latest cube version, so we have an extreemly fast mirror =) i love my server setup.

all those other site look REALY good, keep up the good wok ppl.
