What are the sort of things that the playerbase can expect from the next Sauerbraten update? Gamemodes, user interfaces, or graphical updates?

If 90% people likes something, and 10% anything else, then why coders cannot make it?...even if they are part of that 10% people...
Make the polls on Sauer site and players will have the game as most of us want. The polls will show what players want in the game.
Yes, something you can do by yourself in menus.cfg, BUT if most people want add something, why not realize it officialy?
In my opinion...if it would be my game, I would ask people by polls or something else. Then I would make game as people want. Then I would ask them again, if everything is as they wanted.
Coders could listen players more in my opinion, but I dont care what do you think about this, because it is your game and your game popularity.

Actually, the way I look at it, is you are the 1% who jumps to mp before exploring the game, most people check the game out first.
also, the multiplayer tab is already there, its not out of the way, you click the button "multiplayer" there is no need for a quick jump into multiplayer.
also, its best that people explore the game before jumping to mp, we already have enough noobs in mp as is.
honzik1, you are really wearing my calm thin. i cannot spell this out for you any more than coming down to your house and spelling it out for you one letter at a time.
its pointless to have this done, if you want it this way, just mod your menus.cfg and submit it to quad. its good the way it is.

I have talked about improvements at all. Not only just small menu edit. I am not for cancenling main menu, I would just click and connect, its all.
I dont want click, click => Server is Full => click, click again, because server-list disapeared...
It could be good to have some public thread category just for improvements and each post/idea can be voted by everyone.

Such things like "idea"-contents are already existing (as on quadropolis), but the reason why coders like the developers of Sauerbraten probably won't be a that content is that it's making their vision about what will be included even less clear (as people show even more options and ideas to their list, which is probably already massive).
I recommend you to stop whining about ideas and just sit, wait and hope for the best when a release comes out.
It wonders me actually why you start this discussion actually after all those years you've played Sauerbraten...

I'm asking for adding coopedit mod and presets patch to the next release of sauerbraten, if they weren't added yet.
The reason is that they facilitate cooperative and singleplayer editing process many times.

The "I'm not sure though" should be replaced for "I could be wrong".
That has actually nothing to do with being from any sex at all, it was just intended so people like you wouldn't go yell "YOUR WRONG".

What about these ideas:
- new mode: Same like CTF but the only 1 flag will spawn. Team with the flag have to score at enemy flag place in 1 minute (or enemy score). Flag of the killed flagholder will auto-transport flag to the nearest backwards teammate like in the rugby. At all 10 minutes...so each team is trying 5x to score.
- improved maps voting system where I can see actual poll of voted maps and I can +1 to any map there or I can add a new map in poll by "Vote new map" from the game menu.
I think both ideas are not hard to code. Idea about mode can work without any special map edit. Visible map poll could be way for the better democracy on the servers.
What do you think?

1. Do you mean Hold? It's with only one flag too and everyone tries to get it.

1. No, only 1 team is going to score own flag at enemy flag in 1 minute. Second team tries to thwart score. After 1 minute, roles change. Killed flagholder => flag travel to the nearest backwards teammate (like in rugby). But the exact rules can be modified. My idea is based on rugby system of scoring.

Well, it sounds like a pretty nice game-mode which isn't just mindless getting the flag and running to your own base.
1 Problem with this mode is that a whole team will be defending (also called camping) their base when probably only a few players of the other team will actually playing the mode itself, instead of only trying to kill the players of the opposite team (as this happens in instactf a lot).
So that would create a situation where only something like 3 have to beat something like 10 players.
Keep in mind the delay probably would be 5 seconds, so I doubt those 3 players will even be able to get near the position were they should score the flag (as people probably would just go camp on that specific position).
It sounds pretty nice, but seems like a terrible scenario to me.

If someone choose tactic of camping or rush for flagholder, there are still chances on both sides.
Just count number of steals (scores for Rugby) in ordinary CTF game, its not little even if all players defend against enemy steal.
Rugby system for flag handover could be fun also in public 12on12 I think. 1 team attack and 1 defend for 1 minute. It could be used also in as Rugby iRugby, eRugby mode same like CTF, iCTF and eCTF.
Exact rules can be changed by real testing. Mayby 1 minute is too much or too less, etc.. Someone please add teammates on radar for better cooperation in all team-modes.

Well, that's the problem, being outnumbered like that won't give you much chance to score at all (as when half of the players would go camp just near the position were you should score, then you have a very little to no chance at all at scoring).

"that won't give you much chance to score at all" I was so many times playing CW where we were defending with all teammates to hold result winning result.
If camp tactic would 100% work, then everybody would play like that...
In the that Rugby mode, flagholder just need touch enemy flag...just touch it and he/she scores.
With deathmatch-Rugby it will be more easy if you will take YA...imagine dust2
