please re-write what you said in this thread and post it as a comment so it doesn\'t sound like gibberish, and on that note, if i can at an attempt try to read what you said, you meant that when one person captures the flag the spawn points of where the flag is captured is where your team spawns. that, or the person who has the enemy flag has his/her team with spawn points around the location of the flag holder.

neither of this is needed and chances are neither of the will be added, mostly because eihrul likes what he has set into place, if he feels the need to change the way a mode works, ect ect. he\'ll do it. to top it off, your thinking about a way to protect the flag (i am guessing because you pick up the flag but die because your teammates aren't around you when you need help. the basic of the game is teamwork, and finding where you belong as part of the team, and on which maps you defend or grab the flag. don't go requesting pointless additions for something that isn't broken.

old phrase "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

He's talking about capture, not CTF.

It makes sense to spawn at a base your team owns. It makes capturing bases more tactical.

Here's a question.

Why aren't teamspawns used for team game modes?

It maybe makes sense, but also isolates the gameplay. If you spawn at your opponent\'s base while no-one or a pretty weakened player defenses it, you are able to conquer it without having to wait for ammo or armour, like in regen.
See it as some kinda of teleport wich spawns you right to your opponent.

True, but also if you spawn at the enemy base in regen you're stuck with no weapons and no armor. You can try to capture a base but most likely someone from the other team with rifle or rockets or shotgun will come kill you first.

If you spawn at your own bases at least it lets you heal up and get a weapon first.

I know you could look it from that way, but remember, there's no spawn-delay at regencapture, so you could spawn instantly back again on the same base (depends on the map).
In capture, it's even a smaller problem, since you get weapons and armour at spawning, so you could kill your injured opponent right away.
Of course pickups wich are spread around the map protect your opponent from this, but then they have to leave their/your base.

I agree with you that doesn't affect regular capture that much. It's a shame that nobody plays regular capture anymore. And in regen it is frustrating to be killed many times just because you spawn next to enemies who have rifle or rockets or chainguns while you just have a pistol.
