Hotfire, could you give a few more details, like your graphics card and drivers and system specs?

erm...sorry you did, its early in the morning where i am *goes has his coffee*

When i used linux(knoppix) i had to install use a nvidia driver install script cause i was getting crap fps even in 2d games and that fixed it right away.
Do you think that could be the problem?

there is only one nvidia driver for all of their cards. its actually two drivers: a kernel module, and an XFree module; you can see if you have it loaded like this:

$ lsmod | grep nvidia
should give: nvidia 1697772 -

$ grep nvidia /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
should give: Driver "nvidia"

then read the output of
$ glxinfo | more

You don't hear genial used very often.

I've found the servers to be most busy around 3-6 Germany time.

Hmm, I just tried to run it on my Fedora Core1 machine. I've got nvidia installed (Soldier of Fortune runs smooth) but not here?
Glxinfo gives me this ??

Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
name of display: :0.0
display: :0 screen: 0
direct rendering: No
server glx vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation

..etc etc

But my XF86Config has "load dri" in it?

there are two nice command line options in the 'FM':

cube -w800 -h600
cube -w1024 -h768
etc.

Also, you can change them in cube.bat to have them as default values.
