Hey Sauerbraten community! I'm Ace, and although I'm new to the forums, I'm no stranger to the game. I've been playing for over four years, and today I wanted to show you guys my new site: http://cube2world.org/

The site has a bunch of unique stuff I think you guys might like. Here's some of what I created:

Map guides: Full guides and helpful screenshots for all 100+ maps in Sauer.

Challenges: I've started two challenges currently. One of them is a trick jump challenge, where you need to show your trick jumping abilities in different ways and on different maps. The other is a mystery map challenge, where you are given a screenshot of a part of a map and need to identify which map is shown in the screenshot.

Racing: I've also started high scores tables for flagrunning in all 40+ CTF maps in Sauer. If flagrunning isn't your thing, you can also submit for the high scores tables for various race maps created by the Sauer community and see how fast you can complete the races.

I hope you guys like the site! I'd appreciate any feedback or comments you have about it, and I'll see you guys around Sauer!

#1: no...

by suicizer01 on 03/08/2011 11:24

-.- NO!

Ok, it\'s official, let people search their own way to get trickjumps.

Don\'t take the fun away for those guys that finaly discovered a trickjump wich they think no-one else knows.

That\'s the fun of trickjumping, discovering (on your own) accessible areas wich are only accessible by some fine trickjumping.

By the way,

What about adding the map \"sauerpower\" to the downloadable maps?
It\'s still a great way to train trickjumps...

P.S.
Your still missing some tricks...

Don't listen to the negative nancies (see above post). Everyone has a choice whether to look at the site or not.

It looks good! I wish you good luck in getting an active community.

While your points are true, I think you may have misunderstood the purpose of the site. It's not just a trick-jump site, in fact hardly any of it is.
The only real mention of trick jumps in the site are on some of the map guides, which explain well-known and obvious jumps that unskilled trick jumpers might find useful. Other than that, there is the trick jump challenge which does exactly what you said would be fun: challenge players to discover how to do unique trick jumps. As for the racing, mI makes a good point that players have a choice whether they want to see the fastest runs, and whether players want to even share the fastest runs on the site.
Hopefully this will clear up any confusion about the site.

by mitte_new on 03/09/2011 17:23

hi why did you make the page so bright? the only clue thats its i page on cube2 is the header and thats not ok.
try to follow the design and colors on the "official" cube sites dont copy, you must make it your own but your design are to bright:P and add more images on the homepage and the other pages.. its makes the site fell more interested, remember your visitors are gamers so they are esely bored. fun idea and wish u best of luck with it:)

ps if u continue with this design please dont have gray font! its makes me and 90% of the world disie
