I'm working on a mod and have been waiting for the new release of Sauerbraten for over a year now. And when it finally came out, I started modding.
Two days later - Sauerbraten is re-released. I thought it was just a minor thing so I redid the mod on that version, but what happens two days later? Another release.
And today there was another one.
When will you just find all the problems and fix them in one go? I've never seen this much re-releasing of Sauerbraten before...

Also, why not just release a patch? I doubt 400mb of content is broken.

People don't understand how to use patches, nor ever bother to download them, so I stopped trying to do them. The majority of people who will download in the future haven't downloaded yet, so I fix the packages up so they won't have to worry. But if you're not having issues, there is no reason for you to re-download.

Could you describe the possible issues? I'm using a Mac running the latest updates, if it means anything—though I downloaded Justice Edition the day after release, not the two updates.

Only thing addressed in the Mac packages was a performance issue on 10.5 and some problems with config saving if exiting via CMD-Q.

Thanks. I use 10.6 and generally use /quit, so those don't apply. Nice to know.

Do we really want to associate ourselves with people who don't understand patches? ;)
