how to create entities?

Hello,
Just recentally with my spare time i have been making maps and i can make the monster entity but when i get out of editing mode i cannot see the monster entity, please help. Also if you know how do i make the door entities open and close. Thanks for the help.

Monsters and triggers are strictly single player entities for now. Monsters and triggers will only show in /mode -2 (or -3 for DM).
