simple... inside your sauerbraten folders you have all the game data in C++, back up what you don't want or need to use, then compile what you do need and want.

aolko i think we discussed this issue on irc thoroughly. modding the game to avoid people fucking up your map will not help you. instead you will mess up everything because you don\'t know what you\'re doing, and then you\'ll come back saying what a shitty game this is..

so for once hear the others and take advice on how to avoid this from happening. they are a few simple rules and will work most of the time.

1) save your work often
2) use locked mode when editing your map, assuming you are master. if not, find another open server with no players on it to get master
3) unspec only people you trust. you don\'t just let anyone in and expect them not to ruin things.

However if you are like me you don't want to switch from server to server so you can just simply make your own (using the server.bat) and then you can make it to where people won't mess up your maps...

Well I'd actually suggest editing on your own in a local game - a lot of features are only possible privately, not in a multiplayer session - quite apart from the lack of actually helpful hands in public editing session!
But sub-zero is right about your own server - if you can open the appropriate ports to host it to the WAN you can add "-mlocalhost" to avoid registering on the masterserver and invite known/good helpers by telling them to "/connect" by your public IP!

yeah... besides, when i edit i don't normaly edit alone, i normaly have a few friends i'd like to have join me... in this case of course you still have to go from sevrer to server looking for them... unless of course you use xfire or skype.
