why doesn't anyone play FFA anymore? Theres only regencapture and instactf games running, come on kids lets get some classic FFA gameplay going!

FFA is SUPREME! I totally agree with you, it's the best mode ever invented. We should form a group of FFA fighters and create a FFA fighting clan. :D

i don't like it that you have a pistol and one grenade at the start in FFA.

you should have a chaingun at the start (like in quake 3) and the pistol shoot frequency should be higher, too to make this the very weak pistol more useful.

The fist is more powerful than the pistol - it fires faster AND has a higher rate of damage!!

and the pistol should do less damage if it was to shoot faster. unless we could get a free shooting speed IF sauer used clips like blood frontier, which will not happen ;)

Okay you are right the Pistol should make less damage. But it should definately shoot faster cause it feels very stiff.

why would the pistol need to do less damage? imo it should do thirty damage. and the reason people dont play ffa at the moment is because newbies all love capture and insta modes. and they think ffa is too hard

There are fashion issues to be considered!
Anyway you can always create your own game (vote) and hope for people to join - if you can't find serious (I know the difficulties) players in-game why not try to round up players via IRC?
If you're a member of a clan or other form of community-of-players then use the local channels of communication.

The problem wich all first person shooters have (if you can call it a problem), how faster you kill, how more fun there would be.
Like on insta and regen, its very easy to kill someone and a few seconds later, the same opponent or an other. This somehow gives players a nice feeling.
Unlike insta and regen, at ffa, capture and ctf, you are theoreticly able to stay alive the hole match, without dieing even once.When this happens in duels, it creates a pretty big frustration for the opponent, wich probably wont play it for a while after the match (and will go back to insta or regen).
I know this frustrations sounds like if there are only 10 years old kiddies playing, but everyone has it...
