Seems as relevant to me as anything actually being discussed.

Besides, one reason I like Cube so much is the big bunch of nothing being put out by the big game developers these days -- now with the added touch that I can't even install the things. I didn't realize this to the full degree until I started thinking about mapping for another game. Either the game's so old even I'm starting to get tired of it (Quake), is very limited in monsters versatility or quantity (Half-Life, Unreal), is just too damn specialized for diverse mapping (AvP, RTCW), is multiplayer only (many), is genre-crossing over-complicated crap, or I can't get it to run more than 5 minutes on my PC (Serious Sam).

Did I miss anything?
