Gamers,

UGN has spent many minutes and decided that Sauerbraten (Horse meat) will be the next game event.

Event starts at 1800 GMT ( 2 PM EST ) on Sunday September 20th. Usually runs about two hours or until everyone leaves. You can see the results of past events here http://gwos.org/doku.php/event:followup.

The best way to install Sauerbraten is by using playdeb.net. Below is a direct link to their install using apturl.

firstly sauerbraten does not mean horse meat, as the writeup suggests
it's a german sour roast, see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sauerbraten

secondly, 1800 + 0800 = 0200 monday (other parts use +0930 or +1000) , so I congratulate you, for keeping aussies such as myself out of the competition, simply for having to attend school or work "later in the day".
why not hold it on Saturday (your time) instead?
if it was on Saturday, we aussies AND the rest of the world COULD partake in it.

Also, the best way to install Sauerbraten is to get the tarball from sf.net and unpack it. Finished.
This will ensure you have ALL the newest patches too - since these unofficial packaging sites usually do something wrong anyway and they're definitely not updated regularly.

compiledkernal, get your facts straight. you say it was on the 30th in the thumbnail, when you put 20th in the description, and you think sauerbraten means horsemeat? im so confused
