Sauerbraten Enhanced - NEWS, RELEASES, DISCUSSION

More smoke effects tweaks.
More explosion sounds.
Different frag messages for each weapon.
Rockets and grenades are making bubbles under water.
Better glows of some particles when without glare.
Meat cutting sound when using chainsaw.
Subtle sound when getting chat message.
Added rocket flying sound.
Added gib sounds.
Quick, real-like explosions.
Tweaked debris.
Added /seautosay var to enable/disable auto-says.

V12.6 RELEASED!!!

v12.6 - Update:
Bases will show their names (capture).
Enhanced gore.
Fixed loading other entities than particles and sounds from .se file.
Menus on top (console text no more will cover it).
New rocket launcher and pistol soudns.
Tweaked sparks and made them more glowy.
Bullets are making bubbles when underwater.
Different sounds when underwater.
Added underwater ambient sound.
Don't play map ambient sounds when underwater.

Whoa now, look at the list under Credits / Authors, there is a whole mess of contributors. Just because he doesn't want your sounds doesn't mean he doesn't recognize the content being used.

just because the core project is being kept clean doesn't mean that eihrul isn't sympathetic to any spin-off projects.
I know!

And - especially in light of the basicSauer project - I guess anybody with some time spent on this community will know that. People like Q009, who I've seen here for quite some time.

I get an error when I try to run it..."Cannot find core textures"....

Don't run the binary, run sauerbraten.bat (or other relevant launcher).

That's the most likely problem, anyway. Unless you don't have the files it's looking for (crosshair, etc.) in the sauerbraten/data directory (which you should, unless you've done something really weird and unsupported), there should be no problem.

I made glow particles.
Video is outdated a little but ill upload new soon! ;)

In latest SVN you can imitate HDR lighting, bloom, glare and creat light flares! (You wont see it on this video, sry)

Hade problem compiling the cvs version under ubuntu 9.10 and gcc.

Got the error massage:
"engine/renderparticles.cpp:1606: error: jump to case label
engine/renderparticles.cpp:1601: error: crosses initialization of ‘float radius’"
and a hole bunch identical on other lines.

Solved it by puting {} around line 1601-1605 in renderparticles.cpp.

and now i can compile it. sorry for my englishXD. hope this helps:)
