Hi all.
I have recently found an archive of all the versions of Sauerbraten on Sourceforge, which I found most intriguing as I love to see the way it evolves. However, when I look on the Cube page on Sourceforge, it only goes back to the 2002_10_20 edition, which is not as far as I would like to go. Is there a collection of all the older versions back to the initial release, like Sauerbraten? I would be very interested to see the old versions with only five monster types and such!
Thanks for any help.

I uploaded one of the oldest playable versions of cube to http://cubeengine.com/cube_historic_2001_05_26.zip (1.7 megs!)
Fun to see we've come a long way since then, yet also, that a lot of what is in that version is recognizably still in sauer today.

Bloody Hell! I was thinking of around the 2002_04_10 edition - but looking at this reminds me of the oldest version of Sauerbraten - except even more primitive! My favourite bit is where you said the engine is "very unoptimised" - and just look at the last release of Cube! A very interesting point is that of the config.cfg - why did you have it so early on then deleted it until the very last Cube release?
