My UI is missing in Sauerbraten, it's frustrating, I used to love getting 20 kills in a row, and being the top player in every game I play, but now, I can't aim as well as before since the crosshair is missing.
Here's a screenshot

Anyway, there was definitely a key combination that I accidentally pressed, anybody have any ideas?
I already tried deleting every sauerbraten file, then uninstalling it, then reinstalling it, but my settings still show up, as it shows my username whenever I join a multiplayer game

Yes, that fixed it. I must have accidentally typed in "hidehud b" in the console by accident.
Not being serious here, I only use the console for when I am editing maps, so I am completely superfluous as to why this happened.

The '5' button in editmode also toggles 'hidehud'. Perhaps we should consider changing that..

Or add a button to the options menu.

I'd say that we need a couple of new tabs (or sub-tabs) on the options menu: we have tons of "hidden" options that very few people know about. I keep finding new stuff even after being in the community for so many years.

I still learn new stuff everyday
for example...
did you know you can press Ctrl-V to paste stuff into sauer? :P
(I'm not lying, you can! if you're using Linux, you might like to test the winbins (with wine))
and another example..
how many of you know of the mapstart alias fpsgame executes whenever it's done loading a map?
and
how many of you know that /outline is capable of values higher than 1 (the range is 0...0xFFFFFF)
all things the standard cuber doens't know off :P

Wow! :O
I recently found out a variable named killsendsp, but I don't know what it's for yet.

nomen est omen
maybe you didn't disect it correctly though : "kills end SP" - not "kill sends P" :-P
It's wether the last monster killed ends the map or not in an SP game (sp == single-player) - hitherto you always had to hide away some monster to ensure the player would need to finish all the "story" instead of just the basic "you kill stuff. the end."

Pasting (Ctrl+V) works on linux too, just not with every type of clipboard. IIRC if I'm working in ViM in any way it works .. but the one from my window-manager doesn't - curious and not optimal, but it still works if you want/need it to.

#11: Ctrl-V in Sauer |

When editing in Sauer, you don't need to press Ctrl-V. Just V, at least on a Mac. I and Z are the undos, and Y is the redo, I believe. C is copy.
