Did you read the turbosquid EULA? Specifically, the rather all-encompassing article 4, "Rights Not Granted"? The whole document reeks of potential clashes of interest.

Looks pretty run-of-the-mill to me... Basically says "buy or download the content, and do whatever you want with it, commercially or noncommecially, as long as you keep it to your product". (It also says you have to use the content IN something, e.g. a game, movie, still image, or physical product.
Article 4 is just standard procedure. It's so people can't claim "it's not in the EULA!".

ok since all this mumbling with rights and laws is confusing for me, explicit permission from the mode's author can't do the job?
I mean (and if i understand correctly) the creator of the content gives the site the rights to reproduce, set prices for, sell, and distribute and display publicly or not, digitally or not the content, create or use samples of the content to demonstrate or promote turbosquid or other services and content by the user, use any trademarks, service marks or trade names incorporated in the Content in connection with Seller material and blah blah
as it says any other rights not described in paragraph 3 are not included in the license turbosquid has power over. so explicit written permission from the author can allow (logically, for me at least) special content treatment from the person who was given this permission

this EULA refers to the seller and the site (and maybe a little bit about the downloader) so further licenses should be distributed along with the models defining the permissions the downloader has upon this content.

That's how it works on Quadropolis, but not on Turbosquid.
Some companies basically take all rights to the content from you when you submit it to them. If you contractually agree to this, then the content is basically no longer yours. (This is usually what happens when you submit something like a picture to a corporation for some promotion.)
On Turbosquid, you are required to license you content as described above, but you retain all rights to distribute through other means (or so I understand).
Wouldn't this discussion be a little better suited to Turbosquid's forums?
