how to open the map which is create by the sauerbraten_2009_05_04 in the sauerbraten_2008_06_20?

We are not Photoshop, you can't work backwards like that so far as I know.

You could just change the map version in the old engine. No guarantee the map would actually open, though.

world.h #define MAPVERSION 29 -- however I would not expect changing this to work...

I suggest you begin by comparing world.h & worldio.cpp of both versions...

Near the top of sauerbraten/src/engine/world.h, reduce the definition of MAPVERSION by one and recompile until Cube 2 accepts your map. (Should only take one or two decrements, if any.)

Or, study worldio.cpp in the same directory (or an existing map) for the structure of the map header, and hex edit your map.

Downgrading from a newer map version to an older map version by just changing the version number will not work. At all. Period.
