I have a problem with sauerbraten that wont let me edit correctly..
I have a type of keyboard where the 'F' buttons have to functions, so, i'm like used to pressing f3 for materials, but instead it it does heightmap.
It could be the improper binds, but can i get the normal binds for the f1 f2 f2, etc?

Try deleting config.cfg. That should fix it, but you'll lose any settings not in autoexec.cfg.

Still not working.
This started right when i started playing the game.
I know its not supposed to do this cause i play it at my house, and i am at a different house.
At my house f3 is materials, but here f3 functions as entselsnap.
and a couple other are different too.

So copy over the binds you want.
According to defaults.cfg, F3 is bound to "cleargui; showentgui" (or at least it is in SVN).

So it has to do with the keyboard.
Anyone got any ideas?

So what do the rest of your F-keys do? Is there some key that changes which keycode gets sent, like the Fn key for laptop keyboards (maybe ctrl)?
Also, what's the model name/number of this keyboard?

OK.
I found the key the toggles the functions of the keys, look at the picture and at the top right of it. See F lock?
