Hmm. I keep having this dream that I'm playing Sauer and I go into edit and see this purple material. I go out and walk over to it and start taking damage. Sort of like death but it's not instant. I always remember it as 'Pain' in the material menu. Is there any possibility of being able to code this?
Also, I find it very disturbing that I have dreams about hurting myself in Sauer. Should I visit a therapist?

so I made a slime material that works over multiplayer, big whoop!
eihrul's not fond of the above code, so if you feel like cleaning it up, be my guest
(and if you didn't figure it out yet from the above diff, /editmat slime to add it)
and if you desire to patch your sauer installation, MAKE backups and use patch -p1 -u < slime.diff
replace slime.diff with whatever you save the above pastebin link as
I'm not providing any support for this btw :P
enjoy!

bionic, i have been working on a "hurt material, and because most other colors are taken up, i was using purple, i wonder why you had a dream about what i was planning to make, and the exact color.

as I said, you'd copy it into a local file (int his example, slime.diff) and use the command I gave you to patch your sauer installation
I also said I provide no support for it, so use at your own risk :P

Do I name the file something, do I use a specific directory? Do I replace anything?
Please be as helpful as possible.

It's a patch: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patch_%28Unix%29
If you're not using Linux, you need to either retrieve and get working a patch program for Windows (or Mac, or whatever you use), or make the changes described in the patch.
