hey,
I have an idea for the best video, and I've tried it a few times, but it's just too hard. I just toyed around with the /gamespeed command, and playing on either thor, a newmap, or wdcd with /gamespeed 10 and spectator or playing, or a mix, with floatspeed 1000 is FUCKING sweet. The only problem is filesize, and quality. If someone manages to get a high quality, not too high-filesized movie of either montages or non-stop shots of a botmatch instagib with maximum players, ragdoll settings high and blood on, like the matrix, maybe go normal-mo but at the frags slow-mo, would be THE greatest video. You don't have to give me credit, all I want to do is see it :P

You just post whatever comes in your mind, huh? Have you even watched all the movies on the site .. there's at least one PSL-match-vid that's pretty much what you're talking about.
Although I do have to concede the quality of most videos is pretty terrible.
People should try and capture the in-game frames at the same resolution they're gonna publish it on (one (of many) standard res'zes for FLVs is 640x360 (16:9)) .. read (among others) http://help.youtube.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?answer=132460&topic=16612&hl=en-EN

Well I saw most of the videos, maybe even all, it's only very few. Yeah the PSL thing is kinda what I had in mind, but even slower, and the spectator moving around slowly. Its mostly a question of capturing the best rag deaths form the best angles, etc. Yes, I also saw the one called "Ragdoll Deaths", which is kinda where I got the idea from, but it's not perfect.

The only way to do it is by manual movement .. which will always be slightly jerky/akward ... there's MovieCube though, which is geared towards making machinima.
