Im confused

I was making a script using a guifield. It is supposed to work so that when I type something in it comes out as something different (I can't say what it's, it's a secret;)). It works but when it says something it says it infinitely. Would someone please tell me how to make it say whatever once and then stop and delete the text in the box? I tried cleartext but it deleted it immediately so I couldn't type anything in.
