Tooper Edition and weapons

Can anyone help me?
-The new trooper edition has (apparently) different values for the hudguns. When I try to replace some of them with older ones and start up the game, the character's hand is in the middile of the screen and there is no gun! Does anyone know how to fix this?
(There is no error message in the console, and when I click to shoot, the gunshot is still seen: coming from an empty space.)

Put your old weapon folders in some new folder which you call as you like. Put this folder in packages/models. Then go ingame and type /hudgunsdir "yourfoldername".

No idea how it works to get only a few of the old ones working, though.

Make sure you update your config files to refer to the old weapons. There's probably something in sauerbraten/data that needs changing.
Also, delete config.cfg once you change the models.

I want to replace only 1 weapon from the old guns and it does not work :(.

there are a lot of changes. I solve the problem for my solaris pack with this configuration(i update soon on quadropolis).
You probably have your new weapons on md3, check cfg files to change md5 to md3 if is that the case. You need to delete too in cfg file the hands of new md5.(now the hands and guns are separatelly). You add your hudgun into a Mr.Fixit or Ironshout Model. (you can use diferent hudguns in diferent player) They have hudguns into player folder. Dont use clasical hudguns folder. And, referece cfg files to your cahnges.
