We are considering a giant effort for a single player episode. We want to know who will be willing to help out if we continue with this idea. So far we have this group;
Coders; quin
3d modelers/animators; geartrooper, deathguppie
Mappers; Redon
Storywriters; all contributors can help with the story
If you want to help sign up here.

I wouldn't mind helping out where I'm needed. I've really been wanting to work more on the SP mode for a while, so being part of a big team would be great.
I could probably be handy with texture creation. I tend to use photographs and filters rather than building them up manually. Urban and horror is my kind of field.
Here's a little of my work:
http://sauerhillproject.webs.com/darkstextures.htm
I'm a reasonable mapper too, so doing the more tedious work would be fine while others do the more flashy architecture.
I also wouldn't mind contributing to the story line a little.
Basically, I'll do anything you need, really. Just happy to help.

* you could add a online sp editing mode where triggers and stuff are activated, for the people who have a good enough server to handle with this mode and..
you will never edit with more then 3 people on an sp map.. so it wont lag anyway
i know we have already that "sp online plzzz!!11" topic like 10 times.
But it would be really nice if you could edit in a small group or even with only one another.
And also a mode where you can do an sp mode with another one would be nice.

I am guessing that coop might be the idea behind this, since now there are bots, which could act as the base for online NPCs.
If so... great idea and good luck for the SP project (sorry don't have the time to help).

I've actually been developing two singleplayer episodes myself. One large one, mainly story-based, and one tiny one, mainly scripts based (platforms to simulate running guys, etc, though I haven't actually started development on this episode yet).. I was about to start active development on the scripts one, hoping to be able to release a WIP in about two to three days, and then I read this thread.. :)
I'm no good as a mapper at all, though, as my stuff is damned ugly. Though I can do generic story and ideas and such, aswell as a little bit of programming once I finally 'get' the engine. On the other hand, I doubt I could be of much use story-wise if the story wasn't an SF one, since due to the reading I've been doing lately (lots of Larry Niven, very inspiring) I know way more about that than other genres. As a writer I'm crap, though, as you might've noticed by the crummy sentences I've been writing up there... :)

I'd help if my laptop (and only computer at the moment) could do anything more than 2 FPS on Skycastle (which is probably about the size you're aiming for). Maybe next year...

'Lost' by Redon is probably the kind of size we're looking at.

If you guys want, I can resume work on my Ancient Ogro language ( http://tsholden.com/pages/ancientogro.php and http://tsholden.com/games/decals/ ). If I remember correctly... yes, I still have some notes on how I was going to do simple verbs, and I have a rant posted on my site about their numbering system ( http://tsholden.com/pages/r14-ogronumbers.php ). I never quite finished making the Ogrish font work for Eisenstern, though there's not much work left for it.
Dunno if that's the direct you guys are going through (the Ancient Ogro direction was pretty specific, in a very Riven-y way).

Hi All
Would really like to help out if I can. I have a simple sp mode on quodropolis at
http://www.quadropolis.us/node/1501
Also two maps at
http://www.quadropolis.us/node/1264 (a rather large outdoor map)
and
http://www.quadropolis.us/node/1221 (small test map)
I also have a cube script tutorial at
http://www.clearcrystal.co.uk/cubescript_1.html
Which I am in the process of updating with corrections and suggetions by Hirato Kirata
My skills are
C++ and cubescript - good
Mapping - OK
Artwork - poor.
I am currently in the process of writing a sp mapping/game creation guide which I was hopping would inspire others to have a go sp mapping.
I would really like to help with this as I think sp mode has been much neglected and has a lot of potential co contribute to Sauerbraten.

Thank you all for the interest in the Sp campaign. Hopefully more will sign up, but meanwhile we shall move on to the concept stage. Start posting ideas for possible storylines in the storyline thread.
