Magical Shotgun

Yey

http://mogg.m-watts.co.uk/newhudgunshot.zip

should work...
i HAVE noticed the small shell glitch (when it relaods you see a bit of it pop quickly through the bottom of the barrel).
I did the model and skin (except for the hand, which was from the original shotgun). The skin was NOT intended for the cube 256 256, that is why is blurred. The actual skin map is like 800X600.
Anyway, enjoy

it looks good :).

i have one question to you...
... is it true that the shogtung form you has 7 bones ? (maybe 8)

and the second question is what modeling tool did you use ?

maybe you know i made the hudguns for cube and i had lots of problems with the bones... the maximum is 3 (for mine) cause if it has more than 3 bones the vertices do silly things, it looks then if the hudgun wasn't animated correctly (by myself). they move into unspecified directions... i heard in a forum that has to do with the losy compression of the md2 format ... and the non bone animation (as far as i know this format simulates bones, that isn't very good... you know )

ok, cya :)

ok,
well, there is 13 bones.
4 for the hands.
4 for the gun (including the shell ejection)
1 for the new shells (that is loaded in after)

and hang on, can i guess u use 3dsmax?

ops, didnt see that
sonic x,
they were a late edition. thats why if anyone looks at the model they can see the stock is...messed up.
the original idea was just to put it in for fun, not to add like reloading hands and stuff. But my m8 said it would be cool, so i extruded a box...thats why..well..it looks square.
VERY square ;)

Me. I think you should because i do really not like the current one (as I said in another thread)...

But I didn't see your first hudgun because I can't download here... What about adding a few screenshot (at least ONE), so we can see how it looks before donwloading ?

See you

"so we can see how it looks before donwloading"
does it really matter its only 71 kb!
ill do one tomorrow.

Although i cant be bothered with a rifle replacement on second thoughts now...
i think someone (including me :)) should make some sorta tactical assault game or something (CS style thing)
then we could have many new hudguns (and maybe even better quality, if we made the resolution for the textures higher)
anyone wanna help...?

Sorry I didn't well explain...
I can't download anything for instance until I am not at home :)

So it would be cool seeing a screenshot before downloading, because personnaly I won't be able to download for a time :)

At last I had an idea doing a little tactical assault game, simple, easy but with a good gameplay (not easy to do, huhu)... I want to do it by myself (or beeing highly involved), so I'll wait for this summer to have the time. I'll tell you what it is supposed to be if I can do it this summer :)

[ i am remouk, sorry for my english ]

This looks really good :)

Compact (it seems to be optimized for gaming) but well designed (cartoon-like I find), I like it. Also, the animation seems to be different than the current one.

Can't wait for your sniper :)

PS : your other weapons are quite good too :) Keep up the good work ;)

the animation is different from the other one cuz instead of being a pump action double barrel (eh?) its a normal style shotgun, where you reload each.
(btw as i said i cant do the sniper, but i might get round to do it if it were for some tac assault game)

"your other weapons are quite good too"
.....i hated them.

"so that i can export the models to *.md2"
for what program? 3dsmax?
nop, dont sue 3dsmax, its crap for low poly work.

If there isn't a md2 exporter for max, the world is coming to an end tomorrow. If you can't find one, max can probably save to something that milkshape can open. Then use MS to save to md2.

If there isn't a md2 exporter for max, the world is realising that max doesnt need one cuz its rubbish for low poly
