http://ctf.ubercuber.com is online. You can either get Win32 binaries, or the source code. I can't check, but it should compile on Linux as well.

Subj now bundled with CubeCTF distro. Thanks go to Insight and Verbal for making these (I think Verbal was the first but can't be sure =)). If you have a linux box, and don't want to mess with makefiles, go get it. http://ctf.ubercuber.com.

maybe a console command for changing ports would be a good idea; can't be THAT hard to do :)

It doesn't work with exising Cube masterserver anyways, and whatever replacement I'll come with, it could take into account the fact that ports may be changed.

I'm a little confused, can I play this online yet?
Has a compliant server been made and, if so, started up and the IP known?
/me can't wait to get home from work and see if my machine can take a server and two windowed Cube clients; I have to try this out somehow :)

There's no permanent servers yet as far as i know, but they should be coming soon. If you're looking for a game, try #cube

Server is there, but noone had set up a dedicated one yet. And yes, you can run two windowed (and even fullscreen) clients on one machine with the server - that's how I test it! =)

ill start a server now... considering the binaries are on the server.
IP: 66.227.104.246
it might take me an hour or so to get round to it....
and regarding the master server, if you are going to be running it on my server, i would realy like to code it so that it is as least-resource intensive as possible.

Had great fun playing (and testing) this mod tonight.
Thanks and respect to Thalion and Skaus for all their work on this.
Now all we need is a Domination mod (my absolute favourite in UT) and we would be well away :)

Like Aard found, there is great difficulty finding free models for unlimited use.
I've had a look on the net, but can't find anything suitable that doesn't end in a broken link :(
For an Alpha, you could just use the carrot model again, but with an additional silver or black skin for the un-captured state.

Team emblem models should take me about five minutes to make, if you need it.
polycount.com has lots ofq2 player models that\'s good for monsters etc btw.

It would be great if you could.
I feel a bit cheeky asking someone else to do work for another mod that, at best, I could only map for, but I think a DOM mod would be cool.
Again, showing my ignorance on coding matters, I would have thought that the CTF work done already would cover a fair bit of any DOM-style code and it may be an *easy* job to produce?

Not really. Domination is a bit different, as in in nothing's spawned in the process (unlike CTF, where flags are dropped and returned and captured and dropped...). But now that I know Cube source much better, yes, it should be easier.
