Herr Pig

Rather than hijack the Snout X10000 thread, I'll make my own. Plus, it'll be easier for people to comment (which is much needed).

What this is:
A design for a third playermodel for Sauer. My goal right now is just to throw this out for the community to comment on, and perfect the design.

Note that in Firefox (at least on my comp) the slightly blue greys I used in Ps display too much blue. Try opening the pictures with another application, if it annoys you.

Original design (nixed):

V2 (more how I originally wanted it to look):
http://www.majhost.com/gallery/kofan/sauer/herr_pig_v2.jpg

V3 (drawn over the ragdoll skeleton, thanks to Geartrooper):
http://www.majhost.com/gallery/kofan/sauer/herr_pig_v3.jpg
(also includes shoulder patch designs for red & blue teams. other colors/decals to come later)

(Why am I making so many of these? I just got my first tablet and need the practice. And it's a little fun.)

Oh good, so I'm not the only one that thinks Sauer is subtly moving towards becoming a TF2 clone (not that there's anything wrong with that). Just look at the new weapons...

*smack* yeah that's what I meant...

@SheeEttin
Hm, interesting idea. Although personally I think that the current quads are a little hard to see... I'm not sure if that's how it's meant to be or not. I'd go for something a little more obvious, like flags on the back, a la some depictions of samurai.

Yeah, that sounds like a better idea.
Maybe colored gas masks for armor, then. :P

eh, colored gas masks would be ugly, i think a radioactive looking gas mask with a green pulse would be a good representation of the quad, while just a lump on the character's arm would represent the armor well, like with the other models. But i have to say, it is barely visible on the Snout X10000, because its about four times smaller than on mr. fix-it's armor lump (if you will) . So don't make that mistake Jade, pleaseee.

Radioactive gas mask.

lol.

Don't worry... I'll do my best to make it visible.

Visibility isn't the issue, players being blinded with rays of green light whenever Herr Pig puts it on is. ;)

well, i just hope you can make this model GearTrooper quality, because i have seen many poorly made and sketchy models by users other than him in the past. Not to pressure you, but just try your best. And make the armor shiny? :)

Some shiny. Not like Ironsnout X10000 shiny.

Also graphical bugs.

(I blame my graphics drivers.)

I meant the armor/quad to other players. And no, no shiny armor. It'll be a flat color, just like any real modern armor. Plus, that'll help any lights and/or bare metal I put on it stand out.

lol, actually this grey platinum color is really nice for a non team ironsnout :D
maybe convert that? :P
green got tiring...

matrix, i meant shiny armor for the actual playermodel not GA or YA. Basically i meant make the playermodel shiny. And also without the shiny, most models don't turn out good.

And that's what I meant, too.
Of course it won't look good if the entire model is flat. That's why I'm going to try for shiny details.

When I was "worried" about it being too shiny, that was mainly because of the idea of a radioactive gas mask.

Notice the original posting date. I've been working on and off on this for about three months now, and it's still in concept stage. It'll be done when it's done *satisfactorily*.

That's really the only way anything around here gets done anyways :)
