Hello all... this thread is for discussing features you would like to see in cube, and in particular those that you find most urgent. If lots of people have the same urgent requests, I may give it priority to be implemented.

what OS are you on? what hardware? i have never heard anything like that before, it sounds like a very unique and questionable bug...
what place are you talking about, specifically?

if you can replicate a bug like that, i.e. tell me where to fire a rocket exactly to make it crash, tell me and I can fix it.
I have been firing rockets in cube for 4 years now and never seen this.

I think Mario 64 is actually pretty well designed, it was more a comment on MK or UT style design. If having increasingly complex button commands giving increasingly more power is a good idea then the 32-key instakill is the logical conclusion.

There arent many weapons in Cube, I think that there should be an ultimate weapon like the BFG in doom or something
P.S. dunno why, but my old account isnt working any more

Aard doesnt know how to code the BFG to not beam the host/The guy who shotted the projectile.

Oh ok, ive done it when programming games before, just add a variable to the projectile to say which person fired it, then when it explodes it will know not to harm that person.
P.S. fuck, i cant get it to use my own account, it keeps saying an error has occured, and im having to use fake emails

Jean Pierre, you are the biggest dumbass i've ever heard of. You know nothing, you apparently can't read, and independant thoguht is inconcievable.
"Aard doesnt know how to code the BFG"
And you do? Aard managed to write the whole cube engine dumbass, of course he can write the gun. If you'ld actually read, you would know that Aard has repeatedly said the BFG would be a gameplay disaster, and that the guns we have are sufficient. And are you aware of what the Quad can do?

letīs just ignore him. the only thing I find sad is that he misinforms people and sheds a bad light on cube thus.
example: "how to play on mac?"
jean pierre: "get an emulator and see if it works"
:S

I guess the guy really is retarded. To me, I find his comments funny, since they are mostly so far off base that it is hard to imagine how he comes up with them.
But yes, it can hurt new people if the first reply they see is from him. I really don't like banning people, and obviously he means no harm, but maybe we should.
jean pierre, could you please stop responding to every friggin post on the board?

By far my most wanted feature is CTF, along with a way to make the server stick people onto teams (2v2v1v1v1v1 in team mode is annoying and not very useful).

I'm running Cube in Linux and have twica managed to replicate the Rocket-out-of-memory-bug.
It only works with rockets and one has to be fired into a non-updateing texture. You know how they look. The edges of the other textures around just leave trails in it.
I created my by pushing a single small stripe into a wall, and makeing it a corner. The 45-degree corner then covers one side, while the other, easiest seen at the top, doesn't update.

I'd like grenades, some way of distuingishing players either by colours or player models, and deaths shown as well as kills.
But that's me. Otherwise I think it\'s perfect.

well, i think a cool thing its more models for the player, not only the ogre, think something like Unreal Tournament, you can choose your model, different of quake 1, and the actual version, the same, and ctf mode too, ctf rocks!
