Hi, I am trying to play Sauerbraten online, but I am connected to the internet through a SOCKS proxy.
I am able to connect to the internet through my web browser (using it right now :P) but when I go into Sauerbraten and click update servers, it just says master server not replying.
the SOCKS proxy is running on 169.254.229.72:1234
I am on Mac OS X Leopard/Macbook Pro.
Is there a setting in Sauerbraten? or is there an operating system-wide setting?
~Conor

You need to tell your computer to allow certain ports access to the internet.
Go to your system preferences and click network. then click on your internet location(mine is "Air Port", wireless internet). Then click on the proxies tab and allow your proxy to bypass the cube and sauer master servers. Hopfully now you should be able to see the servers pop up ingame, i had this same problem with my proxy... except i finally just dumped the proxy and that fixed the problem.

hmm that wouldn't work because I have *no* other route to the internet except through this proxy. (It's a tethered phone, I am testing it's speed).
I tried it anyway though and I still got "masterserver not replying"
