For windows users, we've got a little guide on installing SVN with TortoiseSVN - just replace 'bloodfrontier' with 'sauerbraten' :)

Perhaps there should be a FAQ entry regarding SVN.

Although I like TortoiseSVN for ease-of-use, I just installed the Windows SVN binaries and used those.
