Please post your bug reports in here.

With your bug report, please submit the following information:

1) OS: Your operating system, i.e. Linux, Windows, or otherwise and what version you are using.

2) 3D card: The 3D card you are using. If you do not know, this is printed on the "Renderer:" line in the console when Sauerbraten starts up.

3) The edition of Sauerbraten you are using, i.e. Assassin edition, CVS as of a particular date, or otherwise.

4) Error information: If you are on Windows, a pop-up message showing filenames and line numbers should show up when Sauerbraten crashes; if possible, post a screenshot or a copy/paste of this. If on Linux, post a log of the startup info from the console, including relevant errors or any info you might have discovered. If on MacOS X, please post the crash log if applicable.

5) A description of the problem and how to reproduce it. Please give as much detail as possible on how someone can recreate the problem, in as certain terms as you can. If someone else can't reproduce the problem, it is unlikely he can fix it or tell you what is wrong.

I don't get any errors at all when doing that; works fine for me. So you'll need to narrow down what's going on.

Maybe you are starting with a map, so "mrfixit" is preloaded.
Basically, "mrfixit2" (mapmodel) needs to be loaded first.

Try something like:
"sauerbraten.exe -f -lblub"

When you are in game use "newmap", then load the "mrfixit2" model, and press "9".

I cant move around in Sauerbraten. I can use my mouse to click on the menu. And the Escape button brings up the General menu but I cant shoot ingame or move.

Anyone know how to fix it?

Are you using the latest version of SB? Have you modified something?

Try to get a new "defaults.cfg" and "keymap.cfg":

Put both files inside the "data" directory and overwrite the old ones.

Me = Noob,
How would I do that.
Like can you describe it in an easier way for me?

Or could I just uninstall/reinstall Sauer
I would do that right now but I am afraid it would make all of my saved maps deleted.

#86: Sauerbraten freezes upon loading

1) Windows XP
2) Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family
3) Sauerbraten CTF edition

I just downloaded Sauerbraten. When i run the game it loads the starting map and then freezes immediately. I couldn't even exit the game by using any windows commands (Ctrl + Alt + Del), and i had to force a shutdown on the computer. The music keeps running although the rest of the game freezes.

just click a setting and go up a few menus and you should see the apply changes menu once the gui is cleared.
on windows and OSX, the setting requires the renderer to be restarted, so just click okay to restart it

#89: SB Freeze Issue in LinuxMint Rel.6

A few posts in other forums have highlighted the issue of SB freezing.(http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-647503.html) I played one game on it, it froze, and now it will freeze my desktop as soon as I open the game.

I\'ve turned off the screensaver, reinstalled to no avail.

What a shame.

I'm using windows vista

3D card: OpenGL 1.5 fixed-function

I downloaded the CTF version of Sauerbraten

I got the popup that says "Sauerbraten Win32 Exception: 0x0000005 [0x8]"

I got the message when I started up Sauerbraten. It went through a blue loading screen, then I saw a quick glimpse of the level, and it crashed and gave me a, error message.

Can anyone help me? I have no clue as to why this is crashing! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

Hello there,
I have a ATI Radeon 3870 x2 (OC\\\'d) Graphics card in my computer. Everytime I go to play Sauerbraten, after about 1min - 2mins of play time, My game freezes and I get a error message on my computers System tray with a warning saying that the display driver atikmdag had stopped responding and has recovered.

I have been trying to figure out a fix for this issue for quite some time and cannot find any fixes what so ever. Please help!

Just as an experiment, turn off sound - just turn the sound and music volume sliders to 0. See if that affects it at all?
