After some weeks of good play program abort with error code:

Hmm... in 'sauerbraten.bat' delete that '-w800 -h600'. im not sure but maybe it has confilct with resolution settings in 'init.cfg'. try

on another note, I'd advise against using Vista for the moment...

Eh, I'm using Vista/Ubuntu with no problems on Vista, but lots of issues on Ubuntu. People hate on Vista based entirely on hearsay, give it an actual run before you dismiss it as unusable. The worst part of Vista is the thirty minutes on install that you have to invest into turning the unwanted features off, the rest is not that different from the same problems you find on XP.
