Doubts..

by Jjuliz on 06/23/2008 00:21, 5 messages, last message: 06/23/2008 20:50, 1098 views, last view: 04/28/2024 04:11

Hi all, I have some doubts about this 3 points

*texture browser now displays glow, rotation, and offsets

* added \"death\" material for forcing player suicide

* added \"texoffset\", \"texrotate\", and \"texscale\" commands for more easily specifying texture slot parameters

How do I rotate the texture ingame?, I mean, I must write texscale, but how i know the name or the number of the texture?

The texture browser is the ctrl+Y menu?, because I dont see where appears the rotation, glow, and else modifiers.

And the death material, can be texturized?

Sorry if you dont understand the part of the browser :D

the browser is /showtexgui, or F2. The death material is invisible, and kills what ever enters it

the tex commands normally are after the texture command

/texture 0 blah 1 2 3 4

using the tex command it's equal to
/texture 0 blah
/texrotate 1
/texoffset 2 3
/texscale 4

that brings me to another point, these commands only wrk on the last loaded texture slot

If you want a textured "death" material, just do a /materialreset and /texture lava TEXTURE, and use the lava material. It'll use your texture for the lava.

Hmm, can you do that with water caustics, too? I'm thinking custom ripples for a rainy map.

It is possible - open data/default_map_settings.cfg and look for "materialreset".

Sweet. Not that I have time to make custom caustics, much less maps.
