As far as I remember there is a models.html file located in the sauerbraten/docs folder which explains how to export models from blender. The md5 format is Doom3's model format but I dont know how compatible it is.

PS: md3 format is similar to Quake3's model format and works quite well.

Sauerbraten support MD5s just fine. The new mrfixit playermodel is an MD5 model.

I'm assuming you are asking how good the support is, and it seems fine. It's the format I've been using for testing my models.

"Export to md3 from max 9. How?"
I'm sure 3ds Max 9 can already do this from the export menu, if not, save it as a 3ds and try importing it into Blender and exporting it from there.
You don't need to know how to use Blender, you just have to know how to use a menu on a program, and if you can't do that...then you didn't type that message, so you can.

It could have been typed with voice recognition software. :P

md3 and md5 is not natively supported by Max. But I am sure you can find a maxscript that will allow you to export.

Blender works incredibly well though.

I have been using 3ds Max since 2000, and I can tell you whole heartedly, while I think 3ds Max is awesome, Blender is equally awesome. And from here on out I am doing all my personal projects with it.

Blender is an incredible program. And the best part? It's free.

Yeah, Blender rules. There are lots of tutorials on their page. It has a large community.

Ok,

Does de md5 format supported in sauerbraten is for Doom³, Quake4 or a custon format?

I've tried some exporters here, but i can't get to work the .md5anim files that I export and I also get only 6fps when a md5 model is in screen. Why? Anyway to fix?
