Pretty sure you don't need to in Code::Blocks.

Yeeeeaaaaahhh... At this point I'm going to suggest that your current setup is completely borked.

Uninstall Sauer (back up any maps, etc. you want to keep), Code::Blocks, and MinGW, and install them again. Hopefully that'll work.

Methinks it's something about the make target "all"...
Maybe create a shortcut at C:\sauerbraten\src\all pointing to C:\sauerbraten\src?

If I know my Code::Blocks the project usually comes with 2 default build-targets "Debug" and "Install" .. you should have a target to "default" .. or create a Makefile especially for Code::Blocks.
Maybe there's been some misconfiguration going on with the prepared build-targets making them look inside different folders for source-files ... I know C::B generally has seperate sub-folders for obj and binaries for each build-target ... but if you mark your project to use a custom Makefile and then point it at the one inside sauerbraten/src those won't be used either :-)

HTH

Or just use the included Code::Blocks project (src/mingw/sauerbraten.cbp). ;)

Seems like you don't have the SDL libraries installed.

You have to install the SDL-development version for MAC. Did you also add the search-path to the project settings (both for headers and libraries) ?

Which IDE are you using ?

@ $k!llz: do you use a plain new source version or a modified one ? to me the source compiles fine with Code-blocks under Windows XP (32 bit)

thatguyusaw, tut is here:

I use Codeblocks for compiling, works fine for me, you just open the .cbp in the mingw folder and click build. I'm pretty sure it is cross-platform. I have only tried it on linux though.

I maintain the CBP included with Sauerbraten, and I can confirm it is not set up for cross platform compilation. Seriously though, if you're on Linux just use the Makefile, the CBP is only there to address how much harder it is to compile with the free utils on win32.

#26: SDL

by prophile on 06/11/2008 18:09

For all mac users having trouble, look for frameworks for SDL, SDL_image and SDL_mixer. They come as zipped framework bundles which you can just put in place.

Also, it's Mac, not MAC. MAC is an addressing system related to Ethernet. Mac is a type of computer.
