Hi again!
I would like to put some variables in my map.cfg because i want to charge my map with this different setting but not otherwise.
Like for example :
hidehud 1 added to mymap.cfg.
But when I launch it I have
"cannot override persistent variable hidehud" message.
Is there someone who have a clue for me to make it work?
or it is not possible at all..?
thanks!

putting hidehud in your map cfg isn't a good idea imho, cause every player has his own config
it sounds that you tried something like this:
hidehud = 0
it should be hidehud 0 but i think it's easier when you post that part in a pastebin and put the link here

no no, for example:
mymap.cfg:
loadsky ....
etc...
hidehud 1
________
that's all! It's not to share for the moment, it's to try something.
And even this, it could be a mod where people don't see their hud.

it's a persistent variable... persistent variables and binds are two fundamental things you can not set in map CFGs...
if you want to modify them, may I suggest reading up on scripting and guis, you'll be surprised what a guibutton can do ;)

Yep truely! I know.
But in fact i would like to set attribute to a map to use it after by a mod.
like for example:
mymap.cfg:
recallpoint x y z
_______
but for the moment the mod is not done and that's why i have tried this before with hidehud 0
But I think that for this try of mod i will need to recode a bit...
I wanted to be sure before hard changes..
thanks
