Better for YOU is to install windows
For any linux distribution there's one tarball contains sources, datafiles and binaries
Just extract it to any suitable directory (i.e. `~/AC/`)
Then run following commands from console:
n00b@ubuntu:~$ cd AC/
n00b@ubuntu:AC$ ./assaultcube_unix
And, read `README`, `INSTALL` and others files this sort ind future *FIRST* - you can find many interesting things in them

I know AC's site links here, but that's because the site once was restored to an older backup and the link was never changed back to AC's forum.

You don't "install" AC unless you got it from a site like Getdeb.net, and it would have been helpful if you had mentioned that if you did.

BTW: Do NOT use a pre-packaged AC (like the ones available on getdeb or in some distros package managers directly) ... this only leads to trouble, since the package installs into "unknown location" (not impossible to find, but before you need to ask, hehe)"

Just download and extract. ;)
