Bug Reports

by eihrul@work on 04/22/2008 13:19, 252 messages, last message: 01/15/2014 11:34, 327513 views, last view: 04/20/2024 08:07

Please post your bug reports in here.

With your bug report, please submit the following information:

1) OS: Your operating system, i.e. Linux, Windows, or otherwise and what version you are using.

2) 3D card: The 3D card you are using. If you do not know, this is printed on the "Renderer:" line in the console when Sauerbraten starts up.

3) The edition of Sauerbraten you are using, i.e. Assassin edition, CVS as of a particular date, or otherwise.

4) Error information: If you are on Windows, a pop-up message showing filenames and line numbers should show up when Sauerbraten crashes; if possible, post a screenshot or a copy/paste of this. If on Linux, post a log of the startup info from the console, including relevant errors or any info you might have discovered.

5) A description of the problem and how to reproduce it. Please give as much detail as possible on how someone can recreate the problem, in as certain terms as you can. If someone else can't reproduce the problem, it is unlikely he can fix it or tell you what is wrong.

Are you also running mac osx (I see "you.don'tknowme" said he was...)

If so then could you post a link to a screenshot and provide us with info on what version of osx, model of mac, and graphics card.

Note: the previous version (Aug'07) of sauerbraten rendering some things wrongly due to *issues* with osx 10.5, but the latest version of sauerbraten should be fine.

#219: sauer won't launch

by smartalco on 08/20/2008 19:04

I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but sauer won't launch properly for me

I attempt to launch, and it pops up the console for about 1/4 of a second then goes away. Any known reasons for this and ways to fix it? (and where does sauer store console logs?)

(relevant) system specs:
P5Q Pro, Q6600, 4850, 2x1gb RAM
all drivers are latest version, on XP Pro

Edit sauerbraten.bat - on a new line at the end of the file add:

PAUSE

This will pause the console window and allow you to read it before it closes.

Or you could just read stdout.txt and stderr.txt where Sauerbraten is installed. :)

Only binaries compiled with MingW do that :P

by fireflake78 on 05/12/2009 17:46

I'm completely new to this. My screen resolution is 1440x990, and Cube 2 (Sauerbraten) has this resolution. But how do you change the resolution in Cube?
